Landscape Video is built from short fragments of daytime landscapes. The footage comprises ‘in-between’ moments from old footage: re-framings, repositioning of the camera, changing focus. At times the image cuts to black, sometimes the sound disappears. Placing these elements together creates a spiky, dynamic, and colourful terrain of excluded images - trembling sky, blurry grass, waggling ground debris - and woozily reflects my perception of public environments as splintered and sprawling. The camerawork is never able to settle, the compositions are always about to come into being or they have just left.
